For your consideration is a 3-piece Orvis Impregnated Battenkill 4 1/2 ounce bamboo fly rod built in 1967.  All pieces are straight and full length with the same serial number from the same hand. The original markings are legible and mostly there with minor exceptions (see photos). The ferrule fit is tight with a good pop when separated. The cork shows soiling from use, but there is no ridging.  Included with the rod is the original rod sock and labeled aluminum tube.  There are no dents to the tube, but it does show obvious  use.  This rod features the 16/10 ferrule configuration and was marketed as an all around medium action rod by Orvis. Most people fish this with a DT5 plastic or the DT6 silk as called for on the rod.
