FREE SHIPPING to USA. Will ship WORLD WIDE for actual USPS cost. Edwards "Dana's Special" Bamboo Fly Rod Vintage 1930s This rod is around 85 years old and in EXCELLENT PLUS Condition. I cant find anything wrong with it. even has the original model "DANAS SPECIAL" all in tact. This was stored properly and everything is like new on the rod. Looks better then the pictures even especially the close ups of the agate wraps. Edwards built this Bristol-era (1930s) trade rod, and its equivalent to the F-4 to F-7 Rods. Dana Special 9'0 foot, 3/2 bamboo fly rod. The rod has #17 and #11 ferrules with all having good fitment. All sections are equal and full length without any damage, scarfs or repairs. The rod is in wonderful condition and includes a bag and tube. This is around 85 years old and looks like it was made yesterday. Nice vintage fly rod to go out and fish with. Rod cant be any straighter and all pieces are same length and everything is all original to each other. I used high quality UV protection spar varnish just over the "DANAS SPECIAL" label to protect it for years to come. Why I was at it I put a coat around the main agate guide silk original wraps. The rest of the rod is all original varnish. They were in still real good condition but was starting to get dry and now its good for many years. I don't know why it looks bad in the pictures it actually looks quit nice just looking at it in your hand. All the other three pieces are all original. I should of just left it all original and left it up to the new owner. Also looks like most of the original varnish has flaked off on the bottom of the mid section silk wrap under magnify. That's why its a lighter color. I will GUARANTEE that its an original wrap. I will leave it up to the new owner what they want to do there. Also the top wrap of the mid section is starting to look that way too. they both are fine the way they are also, nice and tight. Ferrules are nickel silver and have been polished with a lite, thick jewelry cream inside and out. They go together very well and they have a protective coating on them from the polish. Super lite weight at 5 oz. Black & Silver Jasper SILK wraps are all original and so is the whole rod accept what I mentioned about protecting the label on the main section. Main line guide is silver and tips as well. Tips are really fine. Really nice vintage USA rod and ready to fish or collect. Just wanted to add, if the new owner of this rod wants I will varnish the two silk wraps on the middle section before I ship it out. This a "special" rod and is equal to a F-4 to F-7 in the Edwards book "the life and fly rods of Edwards" second edition from 2008, this is valued at $400 to $800 in good condition and I think this is Excellent condition and the value in the book for that is $700 to $900 from the year 2008. READY TO COLLECT OR FISH. GUARANTEED NO CRACKS IN THE FERRULES OR ANY WERE ELSE ON THE ROD. NOTHING LOOSE AND NO DEFECTS. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS ROD GUARANTEED. YOU WONT HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH THIS. THIS THINGS SOLID AND GOES TOGETHER AND COMES APART AS PERFECT AS YOU CAN GET. (1)The length of the rod when assembled is 9' foot.
