I've been selling and collecting vintage fishing stuff for over 15 years. I've been selling on the internet for over 20 years mostly through paypal since 1999. I'm honest so have no worries in buying if you want an item I have for sell. Just so you know. I accept all forms of payments. 

 They say, there's nothing like fishing these old USA & English bamboo fly rods. A lot of the newer fiberglass, graphite and carbon rods are to stiff and just don't have the same feel as bamboo which is a living fiber.

This 9' 1/2" foot size fly rod was  especially designed for STEELHEAD and SALMON fishing and has a fly line weight of HCH = to 7 weight fly line today or D = to 6 weight fly line today.

 I don't know if this is original varnish or revarnish but either way its real nice. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this in the slightest Guaranteed accept what I mentioned about the rainbow silk wrap and I think that's a added coolness to the rod having one snake guide wrapped in rainbow silk.

 This rod is about 70 years old and in EXCELLENT PLUS Condition. This was stored properly and everything is like new on the rod. Looks better then the pictures even. I cant find anything wrong with it GUARANTEED.

 Rods is around 70 years old and looks like it was made yesterday. Nice vintage fly rod to go out and fish with. Rod is straight, all pieces are same length and everything is all original to each other.

This is a HEDDON, BLUE WATERS 9' 1/2ft rod and as with all Heddon, QUALITY. Even the lower end rods are High Quality. Everything Heddon is High Quality.

 This rod is from 1949 to 1952 and in EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION. Has all labels intact. Comes with Original Heddon stamped tube and rod sock. 

 Ferrules are nickel silver. Lite weight at 5.7 oz. That's pretty good for a 9" 1/2 ft rod. Black & Silver Jasper SILK wraps are all original. Rod has one rewrapped on a original snake guide in Rainbow SILK. Its the second one up from the middle section. All other silk wraps are original to the rod. Main line guide is nickel silver and tips as well. Snake guides look good with no rust. Tips are fine. Really nice vintage USA rod and ready to fish or collect. 

  READY TO COLLECT OR FISH. GUARANTEED NO CRACKS IN THE FERRULES OR ANY WERE ELSE ON THE ROD. NOTHING LOOSE AND NO DEFECTS. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS ROD GUARANTEED. YOU WONT HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH THIS. THIS THINGS SOLID AND GOES TOGETHER AND COMES APART AS PERFECT AS YOU CAN GET.

 Goes together and comes apart well with that nice pop sound. Cant be any better. ferrules fit together as good as it gets.

 rod weight is lite 5.7 oz, with a fly line weight of 7. The  2 1/2 marking on the rod is equal to a 7 weight line today. Also a fly line weight of HCH = to 7 weight fly line today or D = to 6 weight fly line today.7 weight line.

 I took lots of pictures of all sides, so you know what your getting.

 Most rods made during the depression years(1930 to 39) had the quality cut back like the ferrules, no agate guides, less guides on each piece, not this one. Heddon never skimped on things. When you look for quality in vintage rod you look for more guides added on the mid section & tips. Machined ferrules(because there more time consuming to make and better quality) Nickel silver and agate is a plus.

 This rod would be good for the bigger rivers, streams and lakes were you got a lot of open room to cast. Not saying you still cant use it on smaller streams and creeks though, but it was made for the bigger waters. 

This could be an upgrade rod for a collection.
