 They say, there's nothing like fishing these old USA & English bamboo fly rods. A lot of the newer fiberglass, graphite and carbon rods are to stiff and just don't have the same feel as bamboo which is a living fiber.

VINTAGE HIGH QUALITY SPLIT BAMBOO FLY ROD MADE IN THE USA READY TO GO OUT AND FISH, COLLECT OR BOTH.

Looks like it has had some repairs. Interesting rod with character. have this for a while now tucked in all my rods. been going through them and this one looked interesting. No cracks in the nickel silver ferrules. Most of it has the original gold & black trim silk wraps and seems like any repairs just went right over them a little. Pretty straight rod and goes together as good as it gets with that pop sound. Tips look like they had a repair at the bottoms and mid section same thing at the top. repairs are from way back and very good, strength & sturdy wise.

This is a higher end MONTAGUE made for SEARS Co. in the early to mid 1930s. Its 8' 9" ft  and the line weight would be a 5 or a 6. It goes together and comes apart as good as it gets. Has nickel silver ferrules and tips. Agate main guide and both of the tips also. Actual weight of the three piece rod is 5 oz. SILK wraps are GOLD with black accents and most are original and so are all the line guides. Reel nice rod to go out fish with. 

GOOD TROUT ROD FOR SMALL CREEK, STREAM OR RIVER.

 Tips are really fine. Really nice vintage USA rod and ready to fish or collect. 

 
READY TO COLLECT OR FISH. GUARANTEED NO CRACKS IN THE FERRULES OR ANY WERE ELSE ON THE ROD. NOTHING LOOSE AND NO DEFECTS. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS ROD GUARANTEED. YOU WONT HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH THIS. THIS THINGS SOLID AND GOES TOGETHER AND COMES APART AS PERFECT AS YOU CAN GET.

 Goes together and comes apart well with that nice pop sound. Cant be any better. ferrules fit together as good as it gets.

 Most rods made during the depression years(1930 to 39) had the quality cut back like cheaper ferrules, no agate guides, less guides on each piece, not this one. This has Nickel Silver ferrules and agate guides. When you look for quality in vintage rod you look for more guides added on the mid section & tips. Nickel silver & Agate is a plus.
