Rod had varnish over coat that was thick and rippled in areas. Has been sanded and revarnished. On some parts the rod had to be sanded all the way to original cane, so you see some lighter areas then others. Both decals are all there. Cork is nice and velvety the way it should be and when it gets wet it grips really good.  No breaks, splits or cracks any were. Accept for the finish coat its all original with no repairs. Rod has been rebuilt, restored and is ready for fishing. Comes with original rod bag and aluminum tube. 

	SOUTH BEND/CROSS, SUPER, DOUBLE BUILT 9' ft fly rod #28 with a fly line weight of C or HCH = a 7 weight line today. This was the best and most expensive rod that Cross built in 1931 to 37. (look at the 1936 catalog picture). Rod is in EXCELLENT CONDITION, GUARANTEED. Comes with Sateen Silk like rod sock and aluminum tube both original to the rod. Look at those pictures and it even looks better then that in person.

 Rod can't be any straighter and all pieces are same length and everything is all original to each other.

 This is the more desirable DOUBLE BUILT. Doublebuilts were made with the highest quality of the bamboo in the inner core and the outer core. Goes together and comes apart as good as it gets with that nice pop sound. Look at those pictures and it even looks better then that in person.

 Ferrules are nickel silver. SILK wraps are Green jasper & Orange trim.
