THIS IS A HEAVY ROD. THE FERRULES ON THIS ARE HUGE. IT WEIGHS 8.6 0Z. THE BASE TAPER COMING OUT OF THE CORK IS AS THICK AS IVE EVER SEEN A FLY ROD MADE FROM SPLIT BAMBOO. THIS ROD IS HEAVY DUTY. I REALLY LIKE IT. ITS LIKE ONE OF A KIND FROM H & I. I WOULD GUESS THE LINE WEIGHT TO BE 8 OR 9 ALSO. IM NOT SURE THOUGH.
 

ALSO IF YOU LOOK AT THE PICTURES OF THE BASE AND CORK GRIP, THE CORK CIGAR GRIP IS FULL WELLS AND IS VERY THICK AND NOT TAPERED AND JUST LOOK HOW THICK THE BAMBOO IS COMING OUT OF IT( ITS BARELY SMALLER THEN THE CORK) THIS ROD IS SOLID. DOESNT LOOK HARDLY FISHED OR AT ALL. REAL COOL ROD TO HAVE IN A COLLECTION SPECIALLY IN A H & I COLLECTION. NOT MANY GONNA HAVE THIS MODEL. FIRST ONE IVE SEEN.

This fly rod is all original from the factory and is from the 1930s depression years(1930 to 39).  This is a heavy Bass Fly rod meant to pull in anything that you can eat. I think it could be special order as there is a name stenciled on it and is under the original and only varnish coat thats been on this rod, GUARANTEED. Rod is in MINT Condition. 
Will be packaged real well in a another Tube or box over the original factory tube.
All pieces are original to each other. rod, sock and tube are all factory Original.
