This little gem of a rod is a wonderful all original 7 1/2' 3/2 Max Cook Steuck Special.  Built by Heddon on their 1 1/2 ferrule design it is a lovely little 4 wt.  rod.
This rod comes with its original bag and Tube.  The tube for this rod is the same tube that Wright McGill used on their registered rods and is original to this rod.  The varnish is in very nice condition as can be seen in the photos with just a couple of spots where there is some bag rash.  The only flaw being the reel seat has a small crack on the back side of the seat and there is some distortion to the seat as seen on some of these early tenite seats.  The rod is ready to be fished as is.  Please let me know if I can answer any additional questions.
My thoughts are that this rod is built on Heddon's Model 17 specs around 1939 as I have seen this model in uplocking reel seat versions as well.
