Offering a sweet 3 1/2" Farlow “BW-P” fly reel with a spare spool.  It is one of the more desirable Farlow reels, and it is a bugger to find.  It features the Major B.W. Powlett patent wedge drag, which operates as smoothly as intended – tension easily adjusted with the slide of the button.  The outgoing click has a perfectly mellow pitch, and the incoming click gently purrs.  In addition to C. Farlow & Co. Ltd., the reel is stamped with the Holdfast trademark logo, reel size, model name, and British and New Zealand patent numbers.  It shows wear from use, but much of the black finish remains.  Functionally, all is excellent and smooth.  The reel is set up for LHW and weighs 8.6 ounces with fly line and backing.  Farlow advertised this 3 1/2" reel as “extremely lightweight” and capable of balancing rods from 7 1/2 to 8 feet.  The reel and spare spool each come with line (a nice floating silk line and a sinking line) and carry pouches.
