Remarks: An extremely rare rod. This version was made from 1930 to 1932. Michael Sinclair stated that due to the wrap colors - it was made in 1930. The first thing you'll notice is that it has an unusual reel seat. It sort of looks like the usual Heddon seat, but on inspection you'll find that it has a reel seat that was never used on any other Heddon rod. This is the "Heddylin" reel seat that features a one-piece downlocking screw band mechanism that is made a bit larger to fit the reel foot under the edge of the band. Heddon called this a "socket-ring" in the patent papers. The patent is number 1,624,052. Note the huge size of the engraved numbers on the socket-ring in the photos. (A special thanks to Michael Sinclair for sharing these photos as well as the remarks here.)(Material.. Split Bamboo)
